This paper offers an analysis of Jennifer Check from Diablo Cody’s film Jennifer’s Body (2009). It argues that the character advances concept femme fatale by exploring ways in which she both adheres to and challenges trope, ranging her outward appearance, duplicity relationships with other female characters. is contextualised through overview longer history fatale, touching on biblical figures such as Eve (Adam’s wife), Lilith (the first wife Adam who turned into a demon-mother) Salome (daughter Herod II asked for head John Baptist), later characters Catherine Tramell Basic Instinct (1992) analyse evolution trope relation different cultural moments.
